LOCAL STORIES Meet Stephanie Saunders | Realtor November 30, 2021
We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Saunders and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, how do you think about risk?
I’m from Manchester, New Hampshire. I only applied for colleges in San Diego, California. Sight unseen. I wanted to move to California and since I had to pay for college myself, I figured I might as well go where every I wanted. My first day in San Diego was my first day of orientation at San Diego State at 18 years old. It was a culture shock! But I learned to love California, it was so completely different from life in New England, and I ended up staying there for 15 years. It took a few years to acclimate, but from that experience I realized if you take the risk, the reward is always more than you even could imagine. What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve always been one to put on a show. After my years as an actress in California, I ended up back in New England in my mid thirties with no idea what I would do for my next career move. I worked in luxury beauty retail for a few years and began using a lot of video content to connect with my customers. A relative mentioned that the real estate industry was taking a creative turn with video content in the fore-front of marketing and the idea of selling homes instead of lipstick really appealed to me! I had always loved New England architecture, even more so after being in California for so many years. Once I got my real estate license, my new career blossomed as I made my clients and their homes the star of their own show and have a natural ability to create marketing and events to help clients make top dollar for their properties. In two years I 4x my sales and am now looking to make investments for myself and a select group of like minded individuals. The sky is the limit, and so much of the opportunity is literally in the palm of our hands. You just have to press, RECORD.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would take a day and visit different parts of New England. From my home in Haverhill, Massachusetts you can be almost anywhere in 30-40 minutes. I would take them to downtown Haverhill for drinks and food at The Tap, Barking Dog or Barrios. Then another day we would head to the Seacoast and visit Portsmouth, New Hampshire for vintage shopping at Weare House and dinner at Riverhouse. Another day we would head into Boston for North End Italian (can you tell I like food and drink?) and maybe a concert at House of Blues or Fenway. And last I would take them to my hometown in Manchester, New Hampshire to the Backroom for their famous chicken tenders and mudslides. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
